Control 2 update for Symphony I/O MkII Summer 2024

We've updated Symphony I/O MkII Thunderbolt to work with Control 2. This update includes a number of new features.

Control Remote

- Up to 4 Control Remotes connected at the same time.

- Updated user interface for assigning Control remote settings, including saving and recalling presets

Talkback Changes

Control 2 now supports Talkback with all Apogee interfaces!

The talkback source can be an input from a connected interface, a USB Mic, or built in Mac mic. Once you select your input source, select your source and destination channels:

Alternatively, you can use the hardware Control Remote to engage the talkback mic!

DEXT for Symphony I/O MkII

- Symphony I/O MkII now uses DEXT-based driver instead of KEXT on macOS Ventura or newer.

This increases stability and provides better security. On Apple Silicon, you no longer need to Reduce Security to allow the Thunderbolt Kernel Extension. Read more on DEXT

New Firmware updater for Symphony I/O MkII

- More options to update firmware via Thunderbolt, Dante or Protools HD USB port

- Support for updating compatible original Symphony I/O modules in Symphony I/O MkII Chassis
