      Symphony I/O 2x6 card in slot 1: why can I only select Surround 5.1 even with 2nd card installed in slot 2 ?

      With a 2x6 in Card Slot 1, the Speaker Output is limited to 5.1 surround even when an 8x8 or 16AA is installed in Card Slot 2 because of the 2x6 card only has 6 Analog Outputs. The first group of Outputs are used for Surround 5.1 or 7.1. Workaround: Put the 8x8 or 16AA card in Slot 1 and the 2x6 in Slot 2
