First Take
Symphony I/O 2x6 card in slot 1: why can I only select Surround 5.1 even with 2nd card installed in slot 2 ?
Only the first module card is used for surround monitor control.
With a 2x6 in Card Slot 1, the Speaker Output is limited to 5.1 surround even when an 8x8 or 16AA is installed in Card Slot 2. This is because of the 2x6 card only has 6 Analog Outputs, and the first group of Outputs are used for Surround 5.1 or 7.1.
Workaround: Put the 8x8 or 16AA card in Slot 1 and the 2x6 in Slot 2
