How do you directly record keyboards, synths, or drum machines with Symphony I/O?

Lots of electronic instruments have an output level that's not really defined... Some people like to run the output through a combination of a Direct Box and a Mic-Pre before sending it to their converter, but it is possible to plug any of these instruments directly into Symphony I/O and use Maestro 2's input calibration to achieve optimal level.

Connect the output of the instrument to one of Symphony I/O's inputs and then open Maestro 2 and go to the input page. If you need more gain for the instrument, you can click the "Show Trims" button on the left-hand side of the input meters and then set the "Analog Level" of the input you're using to "Variable"... this will give you the option to add up to 25dB of gain.
