Broadcast Wave File format limitations

Maximum Recording times of Broadcast Wave files in MetaRecorder

Broadcast Wave files have a 2GB size limit. This translates into the following maximum recording times per file (i.e. one continuous take).

355 minutes (5 hours, 55 minutes)
48 kHz 24 2 118 minutes (1 hour, 58 minutes)
96 kHz 24 2 59 minutes

 

If you need to record one continuous file for longer than the max recording times indicated above, choose the CAF audio format.
