X-FireWire Compatibility with Mac OSX

Apogee Legacy Products (AD16x, DA16x, Rosetta 800, Rosetta 200) with X-FireWire option cards will work with Mac OSX, without any Apogee software installed.

This is because it uses a native Firewire Audio driver that Apple built into OSX.

That being said, please note that FireMix/Maestro support for X-FireWire is NOT available with Mac OSX Lion 10.7 or higher.

**NOTE: Starting with macOS 13 Ventura, the Apple Firewire CoreAudio driver is discontinued, and Firewire audio devices will no longer work on this or higher versions of macOS.
