Symphony I/O MkII / Control 2 trouble shooting

Sometimes things don't make sense in Control 2 with your Symphony I/O MkII and you need a sanity check. This article shows you how to Reset a Symphony I/O MkII and Control 2 to defaults.

Unplug the Thunderbolt connection to your Mac.

If you have one, you will see one.

Empty your Trash.

NEXT

With the power still off, Hold down the control knob, and while you are holding it down, turn the power on and keep the control knob held down until you see the normal, main display.

During this process the touchscreen will display Symphony I/O Resetting...

SIO2T-Reset

Hold the knob down until you see the normal display.

Once that process is done, plug the Thunderbolt cable back into the Mac and after a moment everything will return to normal.

What is this file? This file is actually being continuosly written to the Mac by the Symphony I/O MkII. It does this so that when you power down the Symphony, it returns to the last state it was in before you turned the power off.

Sometimes this file can become corrupted and it can cause problems.
