My knob on One, Duet, Quartet, or Symphony Desktop is loose. How can I fix it?

If the knob is wobbly or loose in the way that you are now unable to press down to engage its switch, then there are two things you can do to resolve this:

1. Remove the knob by pulling up on it. You may need some large pliers and a heavy cloth or towel to grip the knob tightly enough to remove it without scratching the knob's finish.
If you pull straight out, the knob should come off revealing the post it was attached to. This post is held onto the chassis by a nut.
If the nut has come loose, it can cause the knob to wobble and the button to not function.
Tighten the nut so the post is held securely, then you can reattach the knob itself.

Here's a video showing you how to remove the knob. Note that you do not need to remove the top panel first, just follow the part about removing the knob.

2. If this doesn't help or you are unable to do this, the One/Duet/Quartet/Symphony Desktop will need to be sent into our service department for repair.
If this is the case, please contact Apogee Support team via ticket or live chat.
